"Good Clean Fun," The Oregonian, Arts & Entertainment guide
Friday, January, 14 2005. pg 6.
Author: Inara Verzemnieks, Plugged In: Observed Printable (easy to read) version of the article Comment: I invited a few Oregonian features writers to write up the show, and Inara contacted me and said she would love to cover the opening reception at Half & Half for the A & E. Inara is a fantastic writer, and I love the contrast she has highlighted: Cold January bundled up folks (see photo) viewing balmy bathers in tubs.
"Rub-a-Dub-Dub," The Oregonian, Arts & Entertainment guide
Friday, September 12, 2003. pgs 3-4.
Author: John Foyston, PDX Life-Out There Columnist, Photographer: Nina Greipel Printable (easy to read) version of the article Comment: I invited John to the opening reception for the Bathtub Art Show & Museum. I have been following his "PDX Life- Out There" column in the A & E for a couple years. I am very pleased with the article. John really captured the essence of the show, without leaving out any major parts. He wandered around the opening, watched the films, looked at the art, the museum table, and took in everything around him and wrote a great article. I am especially pleased he mentioned the Nanaimo bars. That was a complete surprise. This is the first major article I've had written on one of my projects.
Short List: Bathtub Art Show, Portland Tribune, CUE insert
Friday, August 29, 2003, pg 3. Compiled by Amanda Haworth Readable Version of Listing Comment: This came as a total surprise. I opened up the first page of the Friday entertainment guide, CUE, and there was a picture of one of my bathtub postcards! I assumed because I didn't see anything before the opening of the show, August 28th, that the Tribune was not going to run anything. This came out the day after the opening. My only wish is that they had listed the museum website. ![]()
Visual Arts: Bathtub Art Show, Portland Mercury Thursday, August 28, 2003, pg 35. ![]()
Comment: The Mercury listed the Bathtub Art Show as a starred visual art exhibit. The paper came out the same day as the show opening. The blurb mentions the handmade postcards and film program, but does not mention the local artist show or museum. This listing probably brought a few more people out on opening night.

Click "Bubbly" to go to the listing
Comment: The Bathtub Art Show & Museum was highlighted on August 30th at dailypdx.com under the title "Of all things Bubbly." A few interesting things about this listing. I'm not sure why they chose August 30th vs. the opening or fair, so I was surprised when I received the email. They listed the Know as the venue but without an address, but they saved themselves by listing the website. Also they listed 40 Alberta Artists, when there are only 20. I was happy to share the bill with my beloved IPRC.
