Bathtubs

  • Loyal Nanaimo Bathtub Society, the home of the "Great" International World Championship Bathtub Races of Canada. Find out when next year's race is, and what bathtubbing is all about.

  • A-Ball Plumbing Supply Great Bathtub & Plumbing Shop in Portland, Oregon with a knowledgeable staff. A-Ball has also supported both two Bathtub Art Shows presented by the museum in Portland. The folks sure are friendly here!

Museums

  • Hidden Portland A list of all the unusual and small museums of Portland, Oregon.

  • MuseumStuff.com Great source in listing Museums all over the world. Check out their list of unusual and strange collections found under museums. I checked out the majority of these websites and found that many are amaturely done, but worth a look around. The Unusual Fortune Collection and Coathanger Museum in my opinion was were the most interesting of the list.

  • Unusual Museums of the Internet is a list of over 100 museums and collections online. This website needs a new look, but on the first page, find the Museum List link and that should get you started. Again many of these websites are terrible, and I found many of the collections boring (Such the toilet paper packaging, sugar packets, napkins, and banana sticker collection) But there are certainly a few gems out there such as the World's Largest Collection of the Smallest Versions of the World's Largest Things--a travelling museum that may be coming your way next!

  • Museum of Food Anomalies (MoFA) is always accepting photos of a carrot you bought that looked like a nun or the anatomically correct teddy-gram. Meanwhile, you can peruse this Museum's fine gallery.

  • What A Collection gives non-website people the chance to show off their collection. You can build your own collection page with pictures. Pretty Nifty. Check out people's collections or post your own.

  • Roadside America is one of best designed websites I've ever seen that is full of fascinating roadside attractions and stories. Go to the "Vortex" to read stories such as these: Five towns claim White Squirrels as their mascot, Salad for the Gods, and Towns with Balls (I'm from Minnesota and I've been to Darwin to see the Largest Ball of Twine Ball).

  • The Fluxus Indian Museum almost fits in two categories: a museum and an interesting art project. I enjoyed this website and it's best left without a description. Go there and see for yourself.

Postcard Collecting

Mail Art
  • Keith Bates is a Mail Artist out of Manchester England. He sent me quite the mailart package for the Bathtub Art Show.

  • Neo Dada is website run by Mail Artist, Lenny Drozner. There is an ongoing call for postcard art and all submissions are documented
