Bathtub Art Show: Art - Museum - Film!
Alberta Street Artists' Paintings, Prints, and Mixed Media work will be on display and for sale Artists in the show: The show is curated by Carye Bye who has been actively involved in the thriving Portland Alberta Street art scene for the last two years. She has chosen artists who have a connection to Alberta Street and are making inspiring, great art.
The exhibit includes: A collection of international hand-made bathtub postcard art- A call for bathtub-themed mail-art was sent out locally and worldwide through the Internet. 50 + postcards from around the world (including Australia, Italy, and England), throughout the USA, and by local Portlanders will be on view. "Folks are Real Friendly Here" and "Plumbers & Peeping Toms" While these two exhibits will also be online, come to the show to see the real postcards. The postcards are from the museum's collection of nearly 200 postcards with a bathtub theme.
Not what you discover in your tub, but the kind you find on the big screen! See footage from the Canadian Int'l Bathtub Races, and clips from great "bathtub moments" in Hollywood.
