When Jodie delievered the the cd of photos to me she said that the pictures looked like they should be on a album. I so much agree. Jodie you better get going on the music part! I love the way the water sprays on Jodies clothes. I can tell she enjoyed the photo shoot.

Bathtub Art Series The Process: Jodie said she locked herself in the bathroom with her camera while her husband had band practice to make this series. She wasn't sure what she was going to do, so she first got in the tub and took photos, then filled the tub with water, then got in with her clothes on. She felt it was more fun to keep her clothes on. The bathtub is in the house that she and her husband own and it has it's own story. It is a clawfoot bathtub but it has been "caged" tiled in so you can no loger see the feet. Jodie hopes to free the bathtub one day. The house is from 1908, and Jodie says the bathtub creeps her out and says she feels a presence of an old woman.

Bathtub Art Series. Digital Photography.

Jodie likes the process of art making. Often she finds herselves dabbling in all sorts of media from crocheting 100s of socks to painting large scale textured works in oil. When I sent out the call for bathtub art, Jodie came forward saying she was excited to experiment on some new works.

Contact Jodie directly if interested in prints.
