Commentary by Flatchestedmama:
"I used the intimate setting of a bathroom (and bathtub) to display the omnipresence of cellphones. I wanted to convey the idea that cell phones allow us to be accessible at all times, no matter how inconvenient and that they assist in bringing 'private' - public."
"FYI- I do not yet own an operable cell phone. Leading up to that show I started taking fictional phone calls (I always carry an in-operable cell phone on me). During the opening of the show I was in the bathtub accepting phone calls from the viewers who were standing right in front of me. If they wanted to talk with me they needed to pick up a cellphone from the sink or medicine cabinet, place it to their ear and say, "Hello".
